How Did I Get So Lucky?

Taking time to stop and smell the roses...or the stinky smells that come from my boys. We have so much fun with these two little men. I hope one day they grow up and realize I'm not a nagging, overbearing mommy, but a friend who knows everything about them and see's the AMAZING human beings that they can, should, and hopefully will become. A mother's love is the purest thing out there. But the love from a child might supersede that!

School Days and 95th Birthdays

Not only did Grady start his second year of preschool...

...But Nani also turned a whopping 95 Years Young!!

I am SO lucky to have such a wonderful woman in my life that loves my family with an undying, unselfish love. She is the heart of our family and I think every year should be celebrated!

Well Where Did That Year Go?!?!?!

I can't believe I have let an entire year go by without updating this blog. Since I left off with Cooper turning one, I have some extreme blogging to do within the next few hours here.

I'll start at the beginning:

Grady started preschool at West Shore Lutheran School with Mrs. Jensen. He loved his first year and can't wait to return again this September.

Grady's First Day              Grady's Last Day

We put our first family house up for sale again in November 2012...It sold within a few weeks. So we said good-bye to Osceola, and hello to a temporary situation over on Shady Creek Drive with Edward and Janice. Three months later we had found our perfect forever home.

Our New Home

We went to Florida this past spring again...worst trip of my life. Both kids were sick pretty much the entire time. Our last two days we were able to enjoy the Mote Aquarium and Lido beach. Other than that, we pretty much hung around the house. Welcome to traveling/vacationing with children, right?!?!

Our summer has basically consisted of baseball for as long as Pete and I have been together. SO why not throw Grady on the roster as well?!?! This year he played T-Ball and he absolutely LOVED it! Pete played his usual baseball schedule and is now on to softball, but Grady is much cuter in uniform.

Which brings us pretty much current with the exception of our five year anniversary and Cooper's second birthday. I can't believe we have been married for five years and that Cooper is two already. This year has flown by quicker than a 747 on steriods.

Life lesson #157: Slow down, drink in the moments, take time to blog. In a world where people rely on "Fakebook" and Twitter to keep everyone up on what they ate for lunch and what they have to say/judge about others while sitting behind a computer screen in the comfort of their own homes while wearing their pajamas at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, I have come to realize that my little ones are what is truly important. They are my legacy and it is my duty now to make sure they grow up and become kind hearted, generous individuals who understand there is more to life than the material things so many have come to cherish.

Baseball Games, Cozy Coups, and Poolside

That's pretty much all our summer has consisted of thus far...but we are loving EVERY second of it!
