Lovely Day For A Boat Ride!

Last Thursday night we took a boat ride with Aunt Jen & Uncle Kyle, Grammy & Grampy, and Uncle Dan & Aunt Sherry. We went to Dockers for a lovely dinner and then enjoyed a joy ride around Muskegon Lake including a stop at Heritage Landing to see who was playing at Summer Celebration.

Bubby was such a good boy for his first ride. After Grammy and Grampy picked him and Mommy up (Daddy was away for baseball again), he fell asleep on the way to the marina. Just before we got to the restaurant, Mommy woke him up and changed his diaper...as you can see in the first picture he was not too thrilled with being awake.

But after dinner, as we embarked on our little ride, Bubs quickly became enthuised with the wind in his hairs and sun at his back! He was so excited as the boat roared through the water. As I held him, I could feel his little chest humming and laughing as we hit the waves. I think he especially loved the spraying water.

The only thing that would have made this day better would have been if Daddy could had made it!

We missed him!

Father's Day Not Forgotten!

I realized I had not posted anything for Pete's 1st Father's Day. I'll have everyone know that this day did not go unnoticed. Grady and I decided to surprise Daddy at the last minute by going down to Gull Lake for his last game in their tournament that weekend. It just so happens that they started a half hour early and we missed nearly the entire game...But nevertheless Daddy was thrilled to see us. Since Pete is coaching The Muskegon Channelcats with Brandon, he has to be away almost every weekend for about the next month. I know he hates to leave us, but we're proud of him!
Happy Father's Day to my husband, my friend, my everything!
We Love You!

Rollin'...Rollin'...Rollin' on the Carpet!

Like I mentioned earlier (I think) Grady is rolling from his back to his tummy now...BOTH WAYS! We are absolutely amazed at this little ball of fire rolling all over the place.

SnuGgLe TiMe!!

So Bubby and I are home alone for the first time EVER. Thankfully, Pete and Becky have been tremendous helps and have taken wild Bode for his walk the past two nights. So while Pete enjoys his time in Boston, Mommy and baby are enjoying some much needed snuggle time!! I have found that Baby Grady favors sleeping on his side just like Mommy. After eating at 5 AM he was out like a light until I had to wake him up to put him in his carseat. Very cute boy!

ALSO: Grady decided to roll from back to tummy yesterday. The catch, no one saw this feat! Very bummed, but we know he did it! Hopefully next time we can see our rolly polly in action!

Terrible Bloggers!

So I am a terrible blogger...Last week our little bubs went to the doctor for some more shots (which I am still convinced that they hurt me more than they hurt him). He did great! Grady baby weighed in at a hefty 16 lbs 12 oz...Holy moly. Only 2 lbs and 1 oz short of his friend Emma who is about 4 months older than he is. Goodness gracious. Our future basketball star is also 26 3/4 inches tall. That's right, you'll be seeing Grady Gawkowski, the next Michael Jordan, in no time at all!
SOMEONE PLEASE STOP THIS CHILD FROM GROWING UP!!

Two Beaches in Four Months...Spoiled Baby!

Last week we ventured down to North Myrtle Beach, SC with my parents, Nani, Ashley and Brett, Uncle Greg and Aunt Cindy, and Uncle Vince and Janet. We stayed in a beach house right on the Atlantic and it was a week of HEAVEN! Pete drove down with Brett and my parents while Nani and I flew with Grady. Once again, Grady did fantastically well on the plane...So well infact that no one knew he was on there until we landed.

Daddy and Grady in the ocean!

Mommy and Grady sticking our toes in the water...We loved the sand!

I'm born to be a beach bum!

I tried cereal for the first time on vacation!
I learned how to give kisses too!

Family picture on our very last day...So sad to leave our piece of paradise.
