There's That Glow!

Last Saturday, October 11th to be exact, was our 24 week mark. After a few weeks of feeling like a truck ran over me, I have begun feeling that glow that everyone is talking about all the time. You know the one that people you don't even know tell you you have?

So I finally feel great! Now that we are one week into our sixth month, the reality of this little guy (who keeps moving at all hours of the day and night) being an actual, living, breathing, beautiful person is amazing to us. Nani keeps reminding me of what a miracle my body is performing.

I recently read Jenny McCarthy's Belly Laughs. HOLY MOLY. I realized about eight chapters in that this book should be on every "Books To Read While Knocked-Up" list out there. It is probably the least educational book there is. I think that is what makes it amazing. It is truly the bare-naked truth about everything (good and bad) that comes with pregnancy. The woman is hysterical and it honestly made me feel like I didn't have it so bad! So one could attribute my "glow" to this book. Hands Down! Mandy, you need to read it!

I want to address my belly-button issue, for Laura's sake (Please see example given at right). I mean, Ashley finds it absolutely repulsive. I need Laura's opinion on this issue. I used to think it was kind of neat how your belly-button just sort of "POPS" out and says "hey there" for a few months. Well, now that I can see the inside of what use to be a cute little innie, I am over it. I find it amazing that my husband can still tell me with a straight face" "Honey, you're not fat and ugly/awkward. You're pregnant and beautiful." I don't buy it, but thanks for the boost sweetie! So Laura, what do you think? Yuck-O or Cutie patootie? P.S. We miss you!

To conclude my tirade over belly-buttons and everything else, I hope you enjoy watching me grow to enormous sizes as the last two and a half months of this incubation period fly by! I will tell you this, watching this baby boy move everyday is the most amazing thing in the world and I would never trade it for all the tea in China!! He is the life inside me and I look forward to the post-partum depression his entry into this world will inflict on Mommy!
