Happy First Birthday Grady Edward Gawkowski

The Mickey Mouse cake Pete and I made for Grady's 1st Birthday

The Birthday Boy patiently awaiting for the festivities to begin!

"We Got Ears, Say Cheers!"

FINALLY!! I get to open my first Birthday present from Mom & Dad!

Pretty much the coolest fort I've ever seen people...Me and my Eebee LOVE IT!

Just a minor meltdown...And we can move on!

...To tissue paper

And a Ukelele phone?!?!

Everyone enjoyed my tent!!

So I was able to put my anxiety away for a night and allow our son to get totally filthy, covered from head to toe in frosting, and sticky in places no baby should ever be sticky...It took a little convincing from Mom that it was alright to go to town...And then it happened. Grady pounced his mini cake like a great lion in the Sahara attacking its prey...And then it was over. All that remained were the bits and pieces of what used to be a delectable chocolate cake with vanilla frosting.

And boy did he have fun!

I can't believe our baby is now one. How do we let the time go by so fast. I feel like I want to hang on to today and never let go...I know he'll be grown up too soon. He'll move on to other women and interests. He'll make us worry. He'll make us proud. I have come to cherish each moment, quiet or chaotic, with this little miracle.

To all of our yesterdays, and all of our tomorrows...Happy Birthday to Our Sweet Baby Boy

To England!

So Laura left for the UK yesterday from LAX. One non-stop flight and she was on foreign soil...

Good luck my little sister. I love you and be ever so careful...Don't talk to strangers.

To England (And Scotland, and Ireland...)!

Out With the Old, In With the NEW YEAR

We enjoyed a surprise visit from Adam...Perfect way to ring in 2010

They just couldn't help themselves...

Here's to many more evenings filled with this much fun...2010, be good to us.

Making the Cut for the Good List!

As Christmas approached we were all a bit aprehensive about the busy day we would all be having on Christmas Day...and Eve I should say.
We decided to go to every family function on both Christmas Eve and Day...WOW...I'm still waiting to slow down and enjoy the Holiday! But never fear! The boy had a fantastic Christmas and thankfully did not want to sit and eat the wrapping paper from his presents!

Daddy and Bubs at Grandma Sparrow's house opening his first Christmas presents!
