FINALLY!! I get to open my first Birthday present from Mom & Dad!
Pretty much the coolest fort I've ever seen people...Me and my Eebee LOVE IT!
Just a minor meltdown...And we can move on!
...To tissue paper
And a Ukelele phone?!?!
Everyone enjoyed my tent!!So I was able to put my anxiety away for a night and allow our son to get totally filthy, covered from head to toe in frosting, and sticky in places no baby should ever be sticky...It took a little convincing from Mom that it was alright to go to town...And then it happened. Grady pounced his mini cake like a great lion in the Sahara attacking its prey...And then it was over. All that remained were the bits and pieces of what used to be a delectable chocolate cake with vanilla frosting.
And boy did he have fun!
I can't believe our baby is now one. How do we let the time go by so fast. I feel like I want to hang on to today and never let go...I know he'll be grown up too soon. He'll move on to other women and interests. He'll make us worry. He'll make us proud. I have come to cherish each moment, quiet or chaotic, with this little miracle.
To all of our yesterdays, and all of our tomorrows...Happy Birthday to Our Sweet Baby Boy
